Hiking to Starling Lookout – Mew -42, Part 3
While camping at Mew Lake during Winter in the Wild, my sitemates and myself decided to go for a hike to Starling Lookout. We packed up our backpacks and ourselves as it was a balmy -22 (better than the -42 we'd been through already) and headed out on the trail. We didn't take our snowshoes as we'd been told all the trails were well packed and they weren't needed. I was bummed but no point [...]

Arrowhead Park-Winter Wonderland Day Trip – Skating Skiing & Snowshoeing-AWESOME!
Once upon a time, I hated winter ...but then I decided to embrace it. I bought a pair of snowshoes from my favourite place Outdoors Oriented , Elektra's made by Atlas Snowshoe Compamy. Then, I waited, but the snow didn't come! Not Roughing it in the Backcountry – Killarney PP

Upon arrival we were greeted by enthusiastic park [...]
Climbing The Crack..err, I mean hiking it – at Killarney PP – AMAZING!

But I will now go back to the beginning and explain why and try and show you with the photos I took along the way just how amazingly awesome this trail is! It was a gorgeous day, Monday [...]
Canada Day At Grundy Lake Provincial Park
At 4am on Canada Day, 2015, on a cloudy drizzly morning, I headed out, car packed, kayak on top, and mom in the passenger seat, to Grundy Lake Provincial Park in Britt, ON. I was really excited to see this park as I had joined Twitter a few months ago and someone tweeted some photos from their trip there. Once I did some research on it I was convinced it was a park I wanted [...]
