Thanksgiving weekend I was in Mckellar, Ontario at Glenwood Resort with my adopted Up North family, the Burnetts. I brought my kayak up and paddled all 3 mornings I was there, along with a few evenings, and took quite a few fall photos. I thought it would be fun to share them here with you in a photo blog.
Hope you like it!
Last year when I was here, I took a picture of this tree and it’s gorgeous surroundings just before a storm rolled in. I was excited to get a comparison photo while I was here this year. Here are the two images side by side. Curious to know which one you like better? 🙂
It was really windy and I had paddled quite a ways from the cottage. I am the blue dot and the cottage is the red pin. (I’m sure most of you know that but just in case?). I had to check my GPS at one point to make sure I was going the right way. This lake is very big and has alot of potential for wrong turns!
Over the 3 mornings that I paddled on Lake Manitouwabing I took a photo of the same tree, every morning. I was curious to see how fast the colours actually change, and how many leaves would fall in such a short time. I was surprised at the images side by side. Even though they are not exactly the same shot, you can really see the differences. The second morning I was here very early and it was still a bit dark out, but what a huge difference from the first day to the third!
I hope you enjoyed the beautiful fall colours of Lake Manitouwabing and come back again soon to check out some of my other blog posts!
